Novelis North America Announces Price Increase on Aluminum Sheet Products
CLEVELAND, Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Novelis today announced price increases on aluminum sheet products sold in North America in response to the rising cost of alloying ingredients.

The fabrication charge for rolled products will increase from between 1 cent per pound to 5 cents per pound, depending on the alloy, as shown in the table below:

The price increases are effective for all new orders booked on or after February 12, 2008, and all shipments on or after April 1, 2008. The increases are in effect immediately for depot orders. All orders currently under a fixed contract are excluded from this increase.
