Plain, General-Purpose Aluminium Sheet, Anodising Quality and Pre-Anodised Sheet to Increase in Price, Effective January 2007

ZURICH, Oct. 26, 2006 – Novelis Europe today announced an increase of 50 Euros per tonne on the conversion price for all plain, general-purpose aluminium sheet, anodising quality and pre-anodised sheets used in a variety of industrial applications. Material below 1500mm width will be subject to an additional charge dependent on the exact specification. The price increase is in response to higher costs and is effective for new orders with delivery after January 1, 2007, if not covered by an existing contractual agreement.
