Novelis Chief People Officer Leslie Joyce Named Fellow Of Society For Industrial And Organizational Psychology
Prestigious award recognizes outstanding contributions to the field

ATLANTA, March 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Novelis, the world leader in aluminum rolling and recycling, announced today that Leslie Joyce, Ph.D., Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, has been named a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP). Fellowship is the most prestigious title conferred by SIOP in recognition of outstanding contribution to the field of industrial-organizational (I-O) psychology.

"She has made outstanding contributions through impactful professional practice in large-scale programs, mentoring and developing I-O psychologists, as well as developing innovative HR procedures and policies and serving as a major change agent in large organizations."

Over the course of her career, Joyce has contributed work in the areas of assessment center design and implementation, change management, performance appraisal/performance management, employee engagement and leadership development. She has been engaged in cutting edge practice and efforts to innovate within I-O psychology and advanced the field through speaking and facilitation and contributing to scholarly books and trade publications.

Before joining Novelis in 2009, Joyce was vice president and chief learning officer at The Home Depot. Prior to this, she held positions of increasing responsibility with GlaxoSmithKline, a leading global pharmaceutical company. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a doctorate in industrial psychology from North Carolina State University. An active member of SIOP, Joyce has also served as president of The Human Resources Leadership Forum, on the Board of Advisors to the American Society for Training and Development – Atlanta, and the Board of Advisors for the Executive MBA program at Kennesaw State University. She currently serves on the Accrediting Board of the National Academy for Nuclear Training and as Board Development Chair for The Human Resources Leadership Forum.
